Our Church

The First Brazilian Baptist Church in Austin is a congregation of mostly Brazilian people and the services and activities are conducted in Portuguese.

The governing structure as well as the liturgy of our church follow the Baptist Church in Brazil. Therefore, FBBCA is an evangelical Brazilian church in the United States.

The Brazilian church has the goal of spreading God’s Word among the Brazilians in Austin that prefer to worship in their native language. We also work in cultivating the Brazilian culture, traditions, language in the hearts and minds of the children with a Brazilian heritage.

The church also has some challenges. One of these challenges is to reach American families and friends as well as hispanics to truly become a house of prayer for all peoples.

Through a variety of events during the year we nourish the spiritual and social lives of our community. Our events include arts, music, theater, and other Brazilian cultural activities. At FBBCA we love to fellowship. The traditional barbecue, birthday parties, soccer games, camping, spiritual retreats, prayer vigils, luncheons, dinners and more.

Like any other Baptist church, we have a heart for missions. We have partnered withh many missionaries around the world who we help to maintain. We also have a very active youth group. Our Sunday School has as a goal to teach the Bible.

We are a very active church!

“An alive church for a living God!”
